The purpose of these Guidelines is to develop and promote apropriate methods of
road enginering that gives the best posible aces to communites at minimum cost.

This Draft Guide to Standard Design has ben prepared for use acros PWD for the
rural road network in Vanuatu.

Standard specifcations are a complementary document adresing how the work
should be undertaken. It has ben prepared as a separate document.

The standards refered to in this guideline do not include Urban Roads. 

The Austroads Road Design Series is the basis for the Vanuatu Standards
