1997 - NZ - Evaluation of Non-Destructive In Situ Tests for Unbound Granular Pavements

Description

This paper describes comparative trials of five non-destructive pavement tests (Loadman, FWD, Benkelman Beam, Nuclear Density Meter and Clegg Hammer), conducted at the Canterbury Accelerated Pavement Testing Indoor Facility (CAPTIF) and on sections of in-service pavements. The tests were evaluated to determine their suitability for quantifying the condition and predicting the future performance of unbound granular pavements.
